From the little girl in “The Man from Nowhere” to the youngest-ever recipient of the Blue Dragon Film Award for Best New Actress, Kim Sae Ron once shone brighter than most. But perhaps, because she found fame so early, darkness also came for her too soon. After facing immense backlash following a DUI incident, she ultimately chose a path of no return at the age of 25.

These tragic losses serve as a stark warning to our society. Have we created an environment that demands perfection, refuses to forgive mistakes, and denies people a second chance? Did this relentless pressure push them toward their deaths? It is time to build a society where failure does not mean the end, where we reach out to share each other’s pain.
